What you´ll do

The Region Business Manager (RBM) is responsible for driving sales growth, profit performance, and market share expansion across the Northeast Grocery Territory for Henkel Consumer Brands. This role leads the commercial development and execution of the Northeast Region business strategies, manages key customer relationships, and partners with brokers and cross-functional teams to maximize distribution, visibility, and execution excellence.
The RBM owns region’s business performance, identifies growth opportunities through data-driven insights, and ensures successful execution of customer and company objectives.

Business & P&L Leadership

  • Own region sales, volume, profit, and market share objectives.
  • Deliver annual revenue targets while managing trade investments and overall business profitability.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans that drive sustainable growth across the territory.

Customer & Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Northeast Region grocery retailers, distributors, and key decision-makers.
  • Develop customer-specific strategies that support category growth and strengthen Henkel’s position within the market.
  • Lead business reviews, negotiations, and promotional planning activities with customers.

Broker & Field Execution Leadership

  • Lead and influence broker partners and field sales resources to deliver best-in-class retail execution.
  • Ensure effective implementation of merchandising programs, distribution initiatives, and promotional activities.
  • Monitor in-store performance and address execution opportunities to improve results.

Data-Driven Business Planning

  • Utilize syndicated data sources, including Circana (IRI), Nielsen, and customer analytics, to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Analyze category, shopper, and competitive data to optimize assortment, pricing, placement, and promotional strategies.
  • Develop actionable recommendations that drive distribution gains and sales growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Category Management, Supply Chain, Sales Finance, and Customer Strategy teams to deliver customer and company objectives.
  • Support new product launches, forecasting activities, and promotional planning processes.
  • Ensure alignment between customer needs and organizational priorities.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales, category management, account management, or related commercial roles.
  • Experience working with grocery retailers (Wakefern and/or other Northeast grocery experience a plus), brokers, and syndicated data preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing customer relationships and delivering business growth.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven business and financial acumen, including P&L management.
  • Analytical mindset with experience leveraging retail and consumer insights to drive decisions.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, including indirect team leadership.

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel throughout the Northeast territory, approximately 30% to 50% of the time, including customer meetings, market visits, and company events.

The salary range for this role is $130,000.00 and $170,000.00. This range represents the good‑faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable.  The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
