About this Position

  • The Network Supply Planning specialist is a key role in Henkel Supply Chain Planning. She/He is responsible for ensuring that the supply of finished products is closely aligned with business needs, achieving efficient net demand management, and working with the MPS/RM planning team to address and resolve issues such as production capacity, supply shortages and inventory, to ensure the continuity, stability and cost-effectiveness of the company's finished product supply. 

What you´ll do

  • Finished product master data maintenance - Maintain and up update finished product planning parameters in the external warehouse to ensure that the system parameters can reflect business needs and generate reasonable proposals.
  • Demand validation and management - Establish a close communication mechanism with the business demand planning, deeply understand business strategies, sales forecasts and market trends, responsible for the calculation, analysis and management of finished product net demand, comprehensively consider historical sales data, market fluctuations, promotional activities. Be highly sensitive to changes in business demand and adjust finished product plans in a timely manner to adapt to market dynamics and avoid inventory backlogs or out-of-stock situations.
  • Plan formulation and execution - Based on the net demand forecast, formulate finished product production plans, inventory plans and distribution plans, and clarify the production quantity, inventory level and delivery time of each stage to ensure that the supply of finished products can meet customer needs and achieve POTC KP target.
  • Collaboration with MPS & RM Planning - Accurately convey the finished product demand to the MPS & RM Planning, and provide detailed information such as demand quantity, time requirements and priorities. Work together with the MPS & RM Planning to formulate joint plans to solve issues such as capacity bottlenecks, supply shortages, urgent/rush order. Participate in the capacity planning and resource allocation decisions with MPS & RM Planning.
  • Inventory management - Set the safety inventory level of finished products, and dynamically adjust according to demand fluctuations and supply stability to ensure that inventory costs are minimized while meeting customer needs. Monitor the actual level of finished product inventory, conduct regular inventory counts and analysis, and promptly identify and handle inventory anomalies, such as inventory backlogs, expired inventory, etc. Handle OSMI (obsolete and slow-moving inventory), including cause analysis report, application, and tracking of processing progress until the it is resolved.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting - Collect, organize and analyze various types of data related to finished product planning, including demand data, production data, inventory data, and logistics data, etc., to provide data support for planning decisions. Regularly prepare reports related to finished product planning and report to management on key indicators of finished product supply, such as demand satisfaction rate, inventory turnover rate, plan execution accuracy, etc., as well as existing problems and improvement suggestions. Use data analysis tools and techniques to conduct forward-looking research on finished product planning, explore potential optimization opportunities, and provide a basis for the formulation of the company's supply chain strategy.
  • Escalation (ad-hoc) - When the supply is unable to meet customer demand due to factors including raw materials, production capacity, force majeure, etc., be able to carry out capacity allocation and synchronize with CX COE team, make corresponding STO adjustments and communicate with stakeholders.
