About this position

About this Position

  • BDM, part of the APP APAC regional SBU organization, works closely with Commercial team Sales, AE and KAM teams to drive short- and long-term strategic priorities defined for the SBU in APAC. With professional project management skills and extensive market know-how, BDM undertakes unique tasks to drive defined, strategic and impactful projects in the three market segments, incl. flexible pack (FP), paper pack (PP) and special tapes and labels (STL). This role leads projects of APP segment in APAC region and implements Key Strategic Initiatives Project within the respective segment within the SBU. 

What you´ll do

  • Drive business growth through structured program / project management. Manage every aspect of a program / project, including its initiation / definition, planning, execution (with strong focus on communication and stakeholder management, risk assessment) and closure.
    - Develop and implement programs / project management from scratch, which contain the relevant details of a program / project.
    - Build the right “Agile” Cross-Functional Project Team to implement the project successfully within a certain period of time.
    - Assign on-board, guide and direct project team members to ensure compliance with set program / project standards, procedures, and guidelines (should the latter not exist, you will develop and implement them).
    - Continuously track and evaluate the progress of a program / project, ensure visibility of risks & issues and its swift mitigating actions as well as escalation to program / project steering bodies to seek solutions to a more efficient process.
  • Support the handover of project to the team and ensuring the right level of support of scaling up, coach individuals & develop teams to the right level where business can take over the scale up.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key players in the value chain of defined projects, incl. Brand Owners, Machinery and Material manufacturers.
  • Support initial scouting of new business opportunities including related M&A activities (prior to the go0 Process).

What makes you a good fit

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Strategy, Engineering, or equivalent academic qualification.
  • Min. 10 years of working experience in the B2B Chemical/Packaging/Labels industries.
  • Have experience in project management, with min. 3-5 years in leading roles is essential to this position; this may include previous successful work experience in a consulting company.
  • Project management certification from a recognized project management institute or PMP certification is preferred but not a must.
  • Min. 3 years of people management experience is required.
  • Relevant experience in project management / consulting in M&A is preferred.
  • Soft skills:
    - Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and communication skills.
    - Strong leadership skills to direct the program / project operations efficiently.
    - Pro-active, can-do-attitude with a positive mindset and self-motivated.
    - Individual with strategic and analytical skills.
    - Strong problem-solving skill.
